Pumpkin Carving Fun: 1-3 p.m. Students in grades 6 and up are invited to a pumpkin carving party. Required registration. Greenwich Library, 101 W. Putnam Ave.
Woodpecker Walk: 2 p.m. Tour the Audubon's sanctuary in search of the six or more species of woodpecker that visit. Audubon Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich.
AuthorsLive at CosCob Library: 3 p.m. Children's author Mary Ann Hoberman shows off her latest books, "I Like Old Clothes" and "Forget-Me Nots." Cos Cob Library, 5 Sinawoy Road, Greenwich.
'Enchanted Orchared' & Animal Show: 6-9 p.m. Halloween-themed evening for the family. Tour of the ‘Enchanted Orchard.’ Also, dinner, a live animal show and treats. All ages. Space very limited. RSVPs and parent supervision required. Audubon Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich.

Diane W. Darst Family Art Appreciation Day: 1 p.m. “Learning to Look” at Sculpture. Kids can make their own crafts. Reservations suggested, call 203-869-0376. Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive, Greenwich.
Trick or Treat on Heckscher Farm and “Ick-Fest” in Overbrook: 1-3 p.m. Trick or treat with your favorite farm friends. Then, stop by "slime table," visit live reptiles and bugs, and create crafts. Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road.
Louis Armstrong Month Concert 2 p.m. Trumpet player Bria Skonberg plays a concert for kids of all ages. Greenwich Library, 101 W. Putnam Ave.
4th Congressional District Candidates Debate: 4 p.m. League of Women Voters presents a debate between U.S. Rep Jim Himes and challenger Steve Obsitnik. Wilton High School, Clune Performing Arts Center, 395 Danbury Road.
