Monday, Sept. 9

Junior League of Greenwich Open House: 7:00 p.m. An open house will be held for prospective members. Women are invited to learn more about the league's 53-year history, the projects it supports, and the benefits of being a member. Richard Levine "Journeys" to Les Beaux Arts Gallery : 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. An exhibition of landscape paintings by Richard Levine, painter and photographer, whose professional career has spanned more than 30 years in the graphic arts. Wednesday, Sept. 11

"Flags Across America": 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Darien native and artist Robert Carley captures the American spirit by taking photographs of the U.S. flag in many different forms, including a chain-link fence, a pickup truck, a surfboard and a farm silo. "Flags Across America" celebrates the American flag with more than 40 photographic prints and a video display of 60 additional photographs. $7 adult, $6 student/senior, members and under 5 free. Thursday, Sept. 12

Greenwich Fashion on the Avenue: 6:00 p.m. An ultimate high fashion catwalk with an evening of style with a live red carpet fashion show presented by local retailers and designers featuring over 80 models. The goal of Fashion on the Avenue is to support the local business community. Following the fashion show, stores will host open house parties up and down the Avenue for guests to enjoy refreshments, music and see the new collections. Free. Flinn Gallery Opening Reception: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The 2013 -2014 season kicks off with an opening reception for Michael Manning’s ‘All the Pretty Horses' and will exhibit large-scale oil paintings. Free. Flinn Gallery, 101 West Putnam Ave.

Greenwich Harbor Sunset Wine Cruise : 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m.  Sail on the cruise ship Prudence, a restored 100-year-old ship, around the Greenwich coastline. All wine and food included for this trip. $45 per person. Delamar Hotel Dock, 500 Streamboat Road. Visit the website for more details.
