Monday, Aug. 5

Tuesday, Aug. 6

Dancing at Polpo: 8 p.m. The new Greenwich Hot Spot, Polpo Restaurant brings in The Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom Dancers. Enjoy live music, singing, dancing and dining. Free. Polpo Restaurant,  554 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

"Revised and Restored: The Art of Kathleen Gilje": 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is an adroit reincarnation of famous Old Masters and 19th-century paintings on the social, political and art historical issues of our day. A trained restorer, Gilje brings a sophisticated understanding of the techniques and materials of the older art that she reconfigures, be it a "restored" version of a van Eyck, Raphael, Artemesia Gentileschi, Manet or Sargent. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and students (with valid ID) and free for children under 5. Bruce Museum, One Museum Drive, Greenwich.

Thursday, Aug. 8

Flags Across America: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Darien native and artist Robert Carley captures the American spirit by taking photographs of Old Glory in different forms, including a chain-link fence, a pickup truck, a surfboard and a farm silo. The Flags Across America exhibit celebrates the American flag with more than 40 photographic prints and a video display of 60 additional photographs. Cost is $7 adult, $6 student/senior, members and under 5 free. Bruce Museum, One Museum Drive, Greenwich.
