Monday, Feb. 4

Town and School Budget Presentation to the Board of Estimates and Taxation 6 p.m. The First Selectman will present the proposed 2013-14 town operating budget and the Board of Education will present the 2013-14 school budget to the Greenwich Board of Estimates and Taxation. The presentations will be followed by a public hearing, starting at approximately 7 p.m. 101 Field Point Road. Free.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Tales For Tots 10:30 to 11 a.m. Drop-in program at Greenwich Public Library for 2 and 3 year olds with a parent/caregiver. Stories, songs and finger plays to encourage a love of books and early language development. 101 West Putnam Avenue. Free.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Greenwich PTA Sponsored Student Mental Health Panel 7 p.m. The PTA Council Wellness Committee is sponsoring a panel discussion on children's mental health issues: helping to identify them and providing resources for addressing them. The discussion will be moderated by a panel of Greenwich Public Schools psychologists, social workers and guidance counselors. Greenwich High School Media Center, 10 Hillside Road. Free.

Thursday, Feb. 7

The Rise and Alleged Demise of the Dinosaurs 7 p.m. Part of a Bruce Museum lecture series, Lowell Dingus, associate research curator of Vertebrate Paleontology Division at the American Museum of Natural History will provide an overview of the evolution of dinosaurs, hypotheses about their extinction and finish by posing the question as to whether or not they are really extinct. 1 Museum Drive. Free for members, $5 non-members.
