Saturday, Sept. 14
Flags Across America: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Darien native and artist Robert Carley made it his quest to capture the American spirit by taking photographs of Old Glory in many different forms, including a chain-link fence, a pickup truck, a surfboard and a farm silo. Flags Across America celebrates the American flag with more than 40 photographic prints and a video display of 60 additional photographs. Admission is $7 adult, $6 student/senior, members and under 5 free. Bruce Museum, One Museum Drive.
Sunday, Sept. 15
Tour De Greenwich Bike Race: 7:30 a.m. The 20-mile bike race is part of the Betteridge Greenwich Cup series. Operated in partnership with the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation, the tour offers participants a race style timed and scored event. Greenwich High School. Visit the website for more details.
Homecoming Sunday at First Congregational Church: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join the First Congregational Church as it celebrates Homecoming Sunday. The day will begin with worship at 10 a.m. followed by a picnic. An opportunity to make new friends and enjoy delicious food and treats. There will also be a bouncy house, a “Double Trouble” obstacle course and a special play area for infants and toddlers. Free. The First Congregational Church of Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave.
Richard Levine "Journeys" to Les Beaux Arts Gallery: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. An exhibition of landscape paintings by Richard Levine, painter and photographer, whose professional career has spanned more than 30 years in the graphic arts.
