Friday, June 14

Project Yellow Light at Grand Prix New York 7 p.m. Greenwich High School students Ben Albano and Beau Dealy are organizing a go-kart race at Grand Prix New York to benefit Project Yellow Light, a group that promotes awareness about distracted driving. Up to 20 teams of two to five drivers are expected. $100 per team, tax-deductible. 333 N. Bedford Road, Mount Kisco, N.Y.

Greenwich Land Trust Annual Family Kayak Trip to Shell Island 9 a.m. Nature lovers and kayaking enthusiasts are invited to join the Greenwich Land Trust for its annual family kayak trip from Byram Beach to Shell Island. Adventurers can also enjoy guided tours of neighboring Calf Island hosted by the Calf Island Conservancy. Naturalists will be available on both islands to discuss the numerous inhabitants of Long Island Sound. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch. $25 suggested donation. 281 Byram Shore Road.

Greenwich Ballet Academy June Graduation Gala 2 and 7 p.m. Two special performances by two members of the Greenwich Ballet Academy who will be attending college in the fall. $60 prime seating, $40 adult regular seating, $25 children 12 and under. Massey Theater of the Wallace Performing Arts Center at Greenwich Academy, 200 N Maple Ave.
