Too Blue Kicks Off Greenwich Summer Park Concert Series On June 8

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich's annual summer concert series held in several of the town's parks kicks off June 8 with a performance by acoustic quartet Too Blue in Byram Park at 5 p.m.

The concert has a rain date of June 9.

The event is the first of a dozen concerts to be performed this summer in Byram Park, Binney Park and Roger Sherman Baldwin Park and on Island Beach.

Too Blue blends musical styles bluegrass, jazz, swing and Celtic, according to a press release. The band includes Betsy Rome on guitar and vocals, Joan Harrison on banjo and vocals, Michael Sassano on mandolin and Jamie Doris on bass.

Too Blue has performed at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival and the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring the family, a picnic dinner, relax and listen to wonderful music at Byram Park.
