Chapin’s program “My Pretty Planet” is a lively, interactive and fun-filled performance engaging the hearts, minds and imaginations of young listeners and adults. Original songs convey positive messages about family, good food and the green earth.

In a career that spans five decades, 24 recordings and three Grammy Awards, Chapin has covered an expansive creative ground. In addition to his work as a recording artist and concert performer, Chapin has acted on Broadway and works extensively in television, radio and film. As a music-maker, Chapin has maintained careers as a contemporary folk artist and as a pioneer in the field of children’s music.

This concert is the finale of Curiosity Concerts’ 2015-16 season. A post-concert reception includes refreshments provided by Whole Foods Market Greenwich.

Tickets are free but required and can be reserved here. Participants are asked to reserve only if you are certain to attend, as the concerts are often oversubscribed.

The Ashforth Concert Series is designed to introduce children to classical music performance. The concert is open to the public at no charge through the support of Georgie and Henry A. Ashforth. Curiosity Concerts, now in its third season, is a series of free family concerts featuring professional musicians and designed for children of any age who can enjoy one hour of music.

The Greenwich Library is located at 101 W. Putnam Ave.
