Bruce Museum Movie Night: Pitching Man
Wednesday, Feb 13, 2013, 6:30pm
1 Museum Drive, Greenwich, CT
The Bruce Museum presents: "Pitching Man: Satchel Paige Defying Time" as part of Black History Month.
A film that celebrates the life of baseball’s most enduring legend. In an era when baseball was segregated, Paige was the single most important player in the Negro Baseball Leagues and in 1948 went on to triumph in the major leagues as a 42-year-old rookie. The evening will feature a Q&A with director/screenwriter and Negro Leagues baseball historian, Craig Davidson.
Held in partnership with Connecticut Film Festival and Some Things Fishy Catering.
Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
