Regional Student Art Show Features Rye Students

RYE, N.Y. - Three Holy Child students artwork will be displayed in Concordia College's OSila's gallery through January 29nd in Bronxville as part of StArt '12 Regional High School Art Exhibition.

According to Holy Child art teacher Amanda Newberg, the exhibition is meant to showcase the work of talented area high school artists.

"It provides students with a forum for the community to see and appreciate their work," Newberg said. "It also gives them a chance to show their art outside of a school setting."

Junior Melanie Patapis and Seniors Destini Beauregard and Danielle Riverso are the three Holy Child artists featured in the show. Patapis recieved particular recognition as she was given an "Excellence Award" for her work, "It's all Greek to Me."

Works will be on display through Jan. 29, and gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday open until 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
