RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – On Saturday, the Ridgefield Playhouse will once again play host to the annual Green Expo, and this it will be year “Romeo and Juliet,” with a twist.

The Green Expo will feature local businesses, like Piccolo Pizza & Jazzeria, Enchanted Garden, Nature’s Temptations, Ridgefield Bicycle and Easy Care Solutions.

Restaurants like Piccolo Pizza and Nature’s Temptations will have food to try, like homemade gelato and other items from their menus. The Enchanted Garden will set up face painting and Easy Care Solutions will have tips on how to make your home greener.

As for “Romeo and Juliet,” the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, a regional theater, has eliminated the heavy language and dramatization of Shakespeare performances, making it a show for all ages. The show will begin at 2 p.m., directly after the Expo.

The whole event is free, but you have to reserve tickets for the show. There is a limit of five tickets per family on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations must be made through the Playhouse box office at 203-438-5795 to ensure seats. Tickets will be held at the box office until 1 p.m. the day of the show.
