STAMFORD, Conn. -- Heights & Lights returns to Stamford as Santa Claus once again rappels 22 stories from the top of the Landmark Square building in celebration of the Christmas holidays.

He will be joined by former Major Leaguer Bobby Valentine, a longtime Stamford resident and the athletic director at Sacred Heart University, and Brian Cashman, general manager of the New York Yankees, in the grand rappel.

Afterward, event-goers can walk up Bedford Street to Latham Park for an evening of holiday fun with live music by the Swingset Mamas, a local duo who perform music for people of all ages.

The celebration culminates with a fireworks display and the lighting of the Christmas Tree.

It all begins at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in downtown Stamford.
