GREENWICH, Conn. -- Second Congregational Church will kick off its annual tent weekend with a performance by the Greenwich High School Jazz Band on Friday, June 10.
The performance will take place at 6:30 p.m. under a tent on the church campus' Mead Lawn.
Attendees can bring a picnic dinner.
The church youth choir will reprise its Spring Broadway Performance on Saturday, June 11, at 4:30 p.m. The program will consist of popular musical songs such as "Tomorrow," "Getting to Know You," "We Go Together" and more.
The Caffe Bon gourmet food truck will sell food at the event.
A screening of Disney's "Zootopia" will follow in the chapel for the younger attendees, while parents are invited to an informal reception under the tent.
The Annual Church Tent Service and Picnic will take place on Sunday, June 12, and begin with a 10:30 a.m. service. A picnic with hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages and dessert will immediately follow.
Church members with last names beginning with A-L are asked to bring vegetable dishes, while members with M-Z last names are asked to bring salads.
The picnic will feature a bouncy castle, face painting and ice cream for kids.
