Assunta 'Tina' Pellicano, 90, Former Saddle Brook Resident

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Assunta "Tina" (Moretti) Pellicano, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Saddle Brook, died on Tuesday, March 8. She was 90.

Before retiring, Pellicano owned Tina's Beauty Salon, in Carlstadt. She was a member of the Saddle Brook Seniors. "Throughout her life, Tina was able to fulfill her greatest wish of being surrounded by a loving family and spreading a message of joy and love to all who knew her," information from the funeral home noted.

Pellicano is survived by her daughters, Louise Pellicano-Newkirk and her friend Lawrence Rosen, and Joan Pollner and her husband Andrew; grandchildren Stacy, Tricia, Jack, Phillip, Susan and Adrienne; great-grandchildren Brandon, Alyssa and Adrianna; daughter-in law-Ulla Pellicano; and family in Italy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bruno, and her son, Phillip Pellicano.

Visiting hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the funeral home, with a 9:30 a.m. funeral mass at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 488 Saddle River Rd., in Saddle Brook. Interment will be in Garden of Memories, in the Township of Washington.
