GREENWICH, Conn. -- Sacred Heart School in Greenwich invites all girls ages 4-12 to a free sports celebration Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the school’s new athletic center, 1177 King St.
Sacred Heart’s international coaching staff has planned a morning of sports clinics to give young girls the chance to get moving, try something new, work on skills and enjoy the new facilities.
Girls will be given the opportunity to explore the school’s new 35,600-square-foot athletic center, featuring a dance/yoga studio and three gymnasiums and squash courts.
Girls will get the chance to show off their skills and work one-on-one with Sacred Heart's coaches in sports clinics.
The program is organized into the following age groups and activities:
- Ages 4-6 will move and groove in a dance program with teachers from Allegra Dance Studio from 9-10 a.m.
- 8-year-olds and younger kids may participate in two clinics: indoor field hockey or indoor soccer from 9-10 a.m. and basketball or squash from 10-11 a.m.
- 12-year-olds and younger may participate in two clinics: basketball or squash from 9-10 a.m. and indoor field hockey or indoor soccer from 10-11 a.m.
Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. While there is no charge, participants should RSVP to 203-532-3534 so Sacred Heart can plan accordingly for lunch.
Convent of the Sacred Heart is an independent, Catholic school for girls in grades K-12.
