GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich will host a great morning of fun for all levels of runners and walkers at its 4th annual Muddy Up 5K Adventure Run & Family Fun Walk in October.

The event will be at Camp Simmons, the club's 77-acre wooded property on Lake Avenue in Greenwich.

This event is for adults, teens and families. Participants will enjoy a competitive adventure run or walk through wooded trails with natural and man-made obstacles and plenty of mud.

Each dollar generated in this mud run will support the annual membership of 2,000 children and enable the club to continue to be affordable for all kids to be exposed to the unlimited opportunities that build character and self confidence.

The race is set for Oct. 4. Registration costs will increase on Sept. 14.
