Norwalk Concert To Benefit Hurricane Harvey Victims

NORWALK, Conn. -- A concert will be held at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk next Wednesday to raise money for people impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Tim Currie's Motown Review Band will perform at the benefit concert, which has been dubbed, "Waterfront Love." The concert is hosted by the city of Norwalk and will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at Calf Pasture Beach.

The city will donate all gate proceeds from 5 p.m. through closing to help those devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Donations will also be accepted at the event, and T-shirts will be sold, as well with all proceeds going to the victims of the storm.

"The public is invited to join in and help raise funds," the city said in a statement. "We all know how devastating it was when Sandy struck our area. It is our turn to reach out to help those in need now."
