GREENWICH, Conn. -- Works of watercolorist Andrea Scott, of New Rochelle, N.Y., are on display at the Greenwich Art Society Gallery through May 20 in an exhibit titled "Watercolors Wild and Cultivated."

There will be a closing party Wednesday, May 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Scott's work has appeared in shows in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, including at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Many of her works have been judged by curators of major museums, such as the Sterling and Francine Clark Institute of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim.

Her awards include the Marie Mathews Beran Award and The Stone Studio Award of the Greenwich Art Society and first prize in the art shows associated with the Berkshires' Housatonic River Summer.

When she started painting, Scott worked for Consumer Reports as an editor and publisher, work she still does on a smaller scale. She is a founder and co-editor of the Sheffield Times, a community newsletter in Sheffield, Mass. She has edited a book about art in the Berkshires, "Art and the River," and written a book about painting, "So Many Colors in the World."

In addition to publishing catalogs of her work, she produces an annual calendar featuring "landscapes wild and cultivated." Calendars and catalogs are available through her website .

The Greenwich Art Society is at 299 Greenwich Ave.
