Malloy To Speak To Retired Men's Association Of Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Connecticut's taxes and the state's efforts to attract business are just some of the topics planned for Gov. Dannel Malloy's Dec. 2 visit with the Retired Men's Association of Greenwich.

Like all Retired Men's Association meetings, this event is free and open to the public and are at the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich, 1 W. Putnam Ave.

All are invited at 10:40 a.m. Dec. 2 for coffee and cake, followed by Malloy's speech at 11 a.m.

Association members say Malloy's administration faces critical issues in Connecticut, including creating jobs, improving public education, stabilizing the state’s finances, making long-overdue investments in the state’s transportation infrastructure, and protecting the environment.

Malloy was born and raised in Stamford, where he served as the city’s longest-serving mayor from 1995 to 2009. After graduating from law school at Boston College, he became a prosecutor in Brooklyn, New York, serving for four years as an Assistant Attorney and winning 22 convictions in 23 felony cases.
