Over 60 people came out to sip cocktails and learn about the Celebrating Wishes Ball. The signature fundraising event raises over $500,000 each November and grants over 50 wishes yearly to Connecticut children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Rose’ on the Rooftop kicked off with a welcome from Pam Keough, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

Along with co-chairs Gina Filippelli, Brooke Bohnsack and Julie Rivard, Keough and the Make-A-Wish team recognized three Wish Kids in attendance who shared their experiences throughout the evening.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Connor O’Neill, whose wish of going on a Mediterranean cruise was granted in April.

Guests also heard from Lauren Telesz, a now-published author, after her wish of becoming an author came true with her published children’s book. She autographed promotional pamphlets for her book, "The Excursion."

The night concluded with hearing from Wish Kid Sam Buck’s family about his trip to see a Formula 1 auto race at the F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, where he met his favorite racecar driver last October.
