Drunk Concert-Goer Assaults Police Officer In Prince William County: Authorities

A 47-year-old drunken man was arrested for assaulting a police officer during a concert in Virginia, authorities said.

James Jeromey Archibeque, of Springfield, has been charged with public intoxication and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, in connection with the Saturday, Aug. 19 incident at Jiffy Lube Live, Prince William County police said.

Archibeque was at the Cellar Door Drive venue's C-lot parking area in Bristow, when he approached an occupied police vehicle and hit it, authorities said. 

When officers attempted to detain him, Archibeque struck an officer in the arm. After a brief struggle, Archibeque was detained. No injuries were reported.
