Pay What You Can Basis
The Ballet School of Stamford and Imagine Project Inc. announce a breakthrough series of Theater Creativity workshops: THE POWER OF IMAGINATION In conjunction with the release of the documentary “An Imaginary Thing”, and in celebration of the twentieth year of Imagine Project Inc. as a not for profit creative arts agency in NYC, we will be offering a series of Creative Theater Workshops starting Wednesday, March 6. These classes are open to the public on a pay what you can basis. Imagine Project Theater Workshops will focus on acting technique and improvisation to nurture students through a creative, imaginative journey. The workshops will explore students' fantasies, thoughts, hopes, fears and dreams. These will become the foundation for collaborative works, music and performance pieces.
Each workshop will end with a public performance in which the actors will present these original works. All classes will be under the direction of Imagine Project Founder, Director and Fairfield County native Bill Bartlett, who established Imagine Project Inc. as a not for profit creative arts agency twenty years ago. He has been a director and teacher at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City for many years. Bill will on occasion be assisted by his daughter Alison Bartlett who, in addition to an extensive theater and film resume including “The Sopranos”, has for years appeared as Gina on “Sesame Street. Both Bill and Alison believe above all else that “art has the power to save lives.”
