Walter Jones was arrested around 10:15 a.m. at a home in the 0-100 block on Longhill Street, Springfield police said. He was still wearing his court-ordered GPS monitoring device on his ankle.

Jones didn't show up to his last court date and was busted on a fugitive from justice warrant, police said.

He was ordered to wear the GPS device by a Springfield judge after an arrest on firearms charges in August 2022, authorities said.

Jones is awaiting trial for a 2021 shooting outside a Simon Mobil gas station in Burlington, Vermont, according to WCAX

Jones has a lengthy criminal record that includes more than a dozen convictions for violent crimes and drugs, according to the news station.
