Shooting Leaves One Person Injured In Bridgeport

A shooting has left one person with non-life threatening injuries in Bridgeport.

Bridgeport Police are reporting one person was shot on Beechmont Avenue.

The shots were reported around 11:26 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, when the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received numerous calls on several shots fired in the 600 block area of Beechmont Avenue, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.

Once the police arrived on the scene, they came upon a person who had a non-life threatening hand injury caused by bullets shattering a business’s window.
