MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- Stella Billen, 85, of Millbrook, died Saturday, Sept. 3. She was 85.
Billen was born June 15, 1931, in Scranton, Pa.
She rejoined the work force and was employed by the Wassaic Developmental Center. She was a member of the Union Vale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and also participated in Home Bureau. Most recently, she enjoyed the company of her friends in her Scrabble group.
She is survived by her children, Katherine, Patricia and John; sisters, Marge and Nancy; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husbund, Michael; two sons, Michael and Joseph; two sisters, Mary and infant Frances; and seven brothers, John, Andy, Nick, Paul, Steve, Joe and Mike.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, 15 North Ave, Millbrook. Burial next to her husband will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
