Elvira De la Cruz Leon-Espinal, 47, Of Lodi

LODI, N.J. -- Elvira De la Cruz Leon-Espinal, 47, died July 28, 2016. 

Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, she lived in Union City before settling in Lodi 16 years ago. 

She was a human resource administrator for Quest Diagnostics in Teterboro. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church Rosary Society, American Red Cross, Hispanic Diversity Team, American Cancer Society, Imperial Court of NY, American Heart Association, United Way and Reach Program. She was involved in feeding the homeless. 

She attended college in Ecuador. 

She was the wife of Oscar I. Espinal; mother of Christopher and Joseph of Lodi; daughter of Piedad E. Mosquera of Union City and Jorge A. Leon of Ecuador; sister of Jorge Leon and wife Amada of Jersey City and Victoria Giraldo and husband Edgar of North Carolina; and aunt of Amadita, Jenny, Samantha, Dora, Maria, Marina, Ellen, Justin and Michael. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi, then to St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Lodi for a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
