St. Vincent's supporters will change their social media profile photos on Tuesday to reflect their reason for giving, be it happy or sad. They will also enourage others to give to someone in need, on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events.

Called "UNSelfies," the photos are meant to demonstrate the emotions behind helping others, hospital officials said. To help everyone get ready, St. Vincent's hosted a photo shoot complete with props, signs and music.

St. Vincent's supporters are being encouraged to use the hashtag #StVincentsGives. Many will be encouraging their friends and families to support the St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation, which is the fundraising arm of the hospital.

The foundation also sponsors St. Vincent's SWIM Across the Sound, a swim marathon to fund cancer prevention and patient support programs those with little or no insurance.
