DARIEN, Conn. Tires and rims were stolen off of a car left in a Darien driveway overnight, poloice say.
The residents of a house on Greenleaf Avenue returned home and parked their 2010 Toyota Sequoia in the driveway at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. They didnt hear anything suspicious overnight, but in the morning they awoke to find the car up on blocks with the tires and rims removed.
Some of the blocks consisted of logs from a woodpile near the driveway.
All of the lug nuts were scattered and left behind. The car was not otherwise damaged. The four tires and rims are worth about $3,000.
