Chappaqua's Joseph Infantino, 79, Honored

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. - Joseph Infantino, a lifelong resident of Chappaqua, died Jan. 25 at the age of 79.

He was born in Mt. Kisco on Sept. 3, 1932. Infantino attended Horace Greeley High School, St. Lawrence University and the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. From 1954 to 1956, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. In 1963, he married Barbara at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville.

Infantino was employed by AMF, Incorporated in Stamford, Conn. and as an independent consultant. Throughout his career, he received several U.S. Patents for plastics. Infantino was also a member of the Royal Garden Jazz Band.

He is survived by his son James Infantino of Chappaqua, his daughter Joanne Infantino of Oklahoma City, Ok., his sister Grace Coward of Croton-on-Hudson, a niece and a grandson. Infantino was predeceased by his wife Barbara.

An interment service will be held at All Souls Cemetery in Pleasantville on Saturday at Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., Suite 130, White Plains, NY 10605.
