RYE, N.Y. Traffic on I-95 South was slowed Thursday afternoon while Rye police searched for evidence relating to an attempted home invasion the night before.
The police are searching a stretch along the roadside between the New York-Connecticut border and I-287.
Detective Jake Chittenden of the Rye Police Department confirmed that the police have one suspect in custody in connection with the attempted break-in and are receiving help from both the state and county police departments.
According to Chittenden, police chased the suspect and made an arrest at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the investigation was continuing.
