Fairfield Woman Reports Obscene Phone Calls

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield woman told police Wednesday she’s been receiving obscene phone calls from an unknown number. The victim says she’s had calls come to both her office and her personal cell phone over the last three weeks.

The unknown caller begins each call with a conversation about switching credit card rates, but then steers the conversation to obscene topics, according to the victim. She does not know who the suspect might be. Police are investigating the incidents.

? A Southport home was the site of an attempted burglary sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. A crew working on a Pequot Avenue home told police that they arrived at the house at 8 a.m. Wednesday to find one of the windows was smashed. It was unclear if anything was taken from the house.

? An Old Post Road resident claims that a $40,000 watch was stolen from his home in September. The victim told police that he hosted a party on Sept. 10 with more than 100 guests, and the watch has been missing since.
