Peekskill Robbery Suspect Apprehended

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A 52-year-old Peekskill man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a delivery man last week.

Troy Garrett was arrested and charged with felony second-degree robbery following a July 17 incident at Bohlman Towers in which a delivery man reported that he had been beaten up and robbed, according to Peekskill Police.

"Officers working with Peekskill Housing Authority Security identified the suspect quickly which resulted in his apprehension," police said in a news release. "The victim was treated at Hudson Valley Hospital for his injuries and later released."

Police said that the proceeds from the robbery were later recovered.
