Norwalk, Stamford Players Ace Tennis Field

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk's Rebecca Link and Stamford's Richard Greenbaum and Tyler Pomerance were among the winners in a United States Tennis Association Level 7 Tournament held at Norwalk High School. The tournament was conducted by Slammer Tennis World.

Link won her first USTA tournament, 6-1, 6-1, over Hanna Hendricks in the girls 14-and-under championship. Link is a student under coach Marvin Tyler at Norwalk-based Slammer Tennis World.

Greenbaum won the boys 14-and-under final, 6-1, 6-2, over Jay Mudholkar of Westport. Mudholkar advanced to the final with a three-set 4-6, 6-3, 11-9 win over Fairfield's Jack Johnson in the semifinals.

In the boys 12-and-under final, Stamford's Tyler Pomerance captured the title with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Wilton's Jay Cassone.
