Greenburgh's Independence Day Schedule Changes

In celebration of Independence Day, Greenburgh is implementing the following changes:

Trains and buses will run on Sunday schedules, found here and here.

Residents in need of last minute shopping can head to the Shoprite in the Midway Shopping Center, open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. The Greenburgh A&P also keeps its normal hours, open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Hartsdale's Trader Joe's is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

No garbage collection will take place Monday. Garbage and organic yard waste will be taken Tuesday. Garbage, comingled and bulk will be collected Thursday.

Anthony F. Veteran Park will host special aquatic events, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Games, including adult volleyball, will be hosted by a DJ.

The Greenburgh Public Library and Theodore D. Young Community Center will be closed, and all camps will be suspended for the day.

Note that the Town of Greenburgh and the Village of Elmsford do not host firework displays; however, the Knollwood Road Country Club and Scarsdale Country Club does.
