As one of the largest events staged in Greenwich, the festival has become a “must attend” party for dog owners, dog lovers, families and anyone who is looking to be entertained. Puttin’ On The Dog festival hours are from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Touring the American Humane Association’s Red Star rescue unit is the newest addition to a full schedule of activities. There are unusual and fun dog competitions to watch, exciting demonstrations by police, search and rescue and obedience dogs, children’s events, shopping and information booths, unique silent auction items to bid on, displays and food.

The popular DogHouse band takes the stage to entertain throughout the day. A special appearance by the amazing Jilli Dog, the world’s only poker-playing dog, also is scheduled.

Cornell University Veterinary Specialists based in Stamford stages a popular “Pawspitality” tent and will offer a beautiful keepsake portrait of owners with their pet.

Wilton's Blue Buffalo, a quality all-natural dog and cat food brand, is Adopt-A-Dog’s important Dog Adoption Sponsor. Come and meet the shelter’s dogs who are looking for a second chance. H/2 Capital Partners generously is sponsoring the festival’s first Cat Adoption Pavilion.

Reckson sponsors live music all day from the festival stage and assists Adopt-A-Dog with many projects at the shelter. A VIF (Very Important Friends) pavilion that offers gourmet refreshments is generously provided by Hospitality Sponsor Fairway Market.

Some 7,000 people from the tri-state area joined their four-legged friends at last year’s Puttin’ On The Dog festival.

The event is the primary fundraiser to aid Adopt-A-Dog in its caring work.
