Greenwich's Bruce Museum Lecture Focuses On Photographing The Stars

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Bruce Museum in Greenwich will present "Astrophotography Without a Telescope: Recent Images; Planning. Set-up and Techniques" with Stan Honda at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Honda, an award-winning photojournalist, will show some of his recent astronomy images and discuss how to research and plan your own spectacular astronomy photos without using a telescope. He will also bring equipment to show how to achieve the best setups. 

Honda has covered major news events worldwide for 35 years. He was an artist-in-residence at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in June and has been artist-in-residence at three other national parks. He is a board member of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York and travels throughout the world to photograph astronomical events.

Museum lectures open to the public. Admission is free to Bruce Museum members and ticket holders; others are admitted by donation.
