Greenwich Land Trust Sets Up For Mushroom Log Cultivation Workshop

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich Land Trust Conservation Center, located at 370 Round Hill Road, is hosting a mushroom log cultivation workshop on Friday, Dec. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m.

The workshop will begin with a short walk around the Mueller Preserve at the conservation center to discuss mushroom ecology, followed by a hands-on lesson in mushroom cultivation.

Hardwood logs will be inoculated with oyster, shiitake, and lion's mane mushrooms, which attendees can bring home for their own harvest in the spring.

Cost to participate in the all-ages event is $25 per person, but the workshop is limited to 15 people.
