Greenwich Is One Of Many Towns Celebrating July 4 With A Bang

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Get your red, white and blue on. July 4 festivities are upon us with towns across Fairfield County gearing up to show their patriotic pride.

The following is a sampling of activities for securing the best perch for picnics and pyrotechnics. Feel free to add more in our comments section below.

Friday, June 26th, Bridgeport: The Barnum Festival Skyblast Fireworks begin at Seaside Park at dusk with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks Fun: .

Saturday, June 27, Danbury: The annual fireworks celebration takes place at Candlewood Lake starting at dusk. Fireworks Fun: . Rain date on June 28th.

Thursday, July 2, Danbury: Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. at Danbury Fair Mall and includes music by Fast Ricky and The Wild Ones, inflatables for the kids, and a food and beer tent. Fireworks begin at dusk. Fireworks Fun: .

Thursday, July 2, Stamford: Head to Cummings Park, where entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with music by DJ More than Music; fireworks start at 9 p.m. Fireworks Fun: Rain date: July 3rd

Friday, July 3, Norwalk: Calf Pasture Beach is where the action is; music starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Amazing Andy Show (magic, juggling, comedy, audience participation) followed by DJ Nuzzo and Jimmy & The Parrots, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Fireworks Fun: Rain date is July 5.
