Greenwich Chamber Lines Up Author For Women Who Matter Luncheon

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Chamber of Commerce is hosting its next Women Who Matter Luncheon at Millbrook Club on Thursday, March 17 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. 

Karen Newman, a former Greenwich resident, will be the guest speaker at the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce's Women Who Matter Luncheon on Thursday, March 17 at the Millbrook Club.

This twice yearly luncheon celebrates women who make a difference and who have a real impact on the Greenwich community and beyond. 

The guest speaker will be Karen Newman, author of “Just Three Words—Athlete, Mother Survivor: How One Brave Woman, Against all Odd, Wins the Race of Her Life.” Newman, a former Greenwich resident who now lives in Vermont, is a motivational speaker, world record breaking athlete and survivor of two life-threatening diseases. She will share her failures, success and lessons learned through her battles with bulimia and aggressive stage 3 breast cancer.
