Greenwich Astronomical Society Hosts First Sunday Science Event

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Greenwich Astronomical Society will hold its monthly First Sunday Science event at the Seaside Center in Greenwich Point Park on Sunday, Feb. 1.

The event will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m., covering Groundhog Day and astronomical holidays in general.

Greenwich Astronomical Society members will explain how these holidays have their roots in the movement of the planet.

The Bruce Museum's groundhog will make an appearance and shadow-making activities are on tap as well.

This is an all ages event, and no reservations are necessary.
