GREENWICH, Conn. -- Greenwich Library will host a special book sale Friday through Sunday, starting with a preview party featuring appraisals of antique books on Friday at 5 p.m.

Antique book appraiser Ken Gloss, owner of Brattle Books and a frequent guest on PBS's "Antiques Roadshow," will be on hand to discuss the value of an old book, which participants are invited to bring.

The preview party kicks off a weekend of book sales, with tickets to the party costing $100. Cocktails and hors d'oeurves will be provided by Burke Catering, Barcelona, NEAT Coffee and Horseneck Liquor.

Attendees of the preview party will get exclusive early access to the book sale.

The public portion of the book sale kicks off Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lower level of the library's parking garage. Families are encouraged to visit the Community Day on the garage's upper level for activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including an eReader petting zoo, arts and crafts, stories, henna tattoos, music, local history artifacts and more.

Thousands of items will be available including fiction, biographies, cookbooks, romance novels, young adult, children's books, DVDs, special collections, audiobooks and much more.
