Alert Issued For Missing Nassau County Man

A 71-year-old man has gone missing on Long Island man and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him.

John McLean, who suffers from a cognitive disorder, was last seen Tuesday, Nov. 26 at around 8:30 p.m. walking northbound on Community Drive in Manhasset from North Shore Manhasset Hospital and may need medical treatment, Nassau County Police say. His disappearance was reported to police on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5:10 p.m.

He is described as being 5-foot-8, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, white hat, with dark-colored pants and shoes. His possible destination is Great Neck or New York City.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding Ahmed’s whereabouts to call Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or 911.
