At 10 a.m., Mayor Christopher Kelemen will lead a nearly two mile walk from Olsen Park (162 West Main Street) to the new Community Garden (River Road), where there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event is free and open to all.

"Bring the whole family and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of walking and being together in the fresh air," organizers said.

"I'm looking for a nice crowd to walk and socialize with," Kelemen said.

Kelemen, a Republican, became mayor back in 2014. The father of five graduated from Bogota High School. He owns Queen Anne Delicatessen in addition to working in real estate.

His father, Alexander, was mayor from 1984-1988.
