Friday, April 19 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: 8 p.m. The Sacred Heart Student Theatre stages a production of the Broadway musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts. Shows are also scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. 5151 Park Ave., Fairfield.

Saturday, April 20 Earth Day Hike: 1 p.m. Conservationist Anthony Zemba leads a hike through the Trout Brook Valley Preserve in Weston and Easton. Enter at on Bradley Road, Weston.

Rally for Pequot Library: 1 p.m. Residents gather to support Southport’s Pequot Library on its Great Lawn. Followed by a free children’s concert starting at 2 p.m. 720 Pequot Ave., Fairfield.

Sunday, April 21 Young Artists Series: Yen Yu Chen: 3 p.m. Taiwanese piano prodigy Yen Yu Chen performs a free concert at Fairfield University’s Quick Center for the Arts. 200 Barlow Road, Fairfield.
