Islip Terrace resident Jacqueline O’Neill, 30, was stopped by a Suffolk County Sheriff’s deputy shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, when she was spotted crossing the double yellow line on North Ocean Avenue repeatedly in Brookhaven.

During the subsequent traffic stop, it was determined that O’Neill “demonstrated clues while performing standardized field sobriety tests indicating she was intoxicated.”

O’Neill was arrested and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Station One for processing. She later refused to submit to a chemical breath test multiple times.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, O’Neill was charged with driving while intoxicated and cited for crossing over official road markings creating a hazardous condition. No return court date has been announced.
