Fairfield County pie lovers who Tweet may be in luck this Friday the 13th at local Dunkin' Donuts shops. The chain is celebrating National Apple Pie Day today with a Twitter contest where users can guess what apples are used in Dunkin' Donuts' "Warm Apple Pie."
Anyone who guesses correctly at @DunkinDonuts -- and uses the hashtag #ApplePieDDay -- is eligible to win a $50 gift card.
In corporate news, the Canton, Mass.-based treat company is a hot Internet search term today because Jubilant Foodworks announced it will open 100 Dunkin' Donuts franchises in India over the next five years, TheStreet.com reported. Jubilant Foodworks also operates hundreds of Dominos Pizza franchises in India.
