The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will feature live music, children’s activities, a Zumba warm-up before the 3-mile scenic walk and a tribute ceremony.

This year the event celebrates its 25th anniversary. Originally launched in 1989 as Memory Walk, it now is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. In 2013, more than 42,000 teams participated in nearly 650 Walks across the country, raising more than $55 million.
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
