GREENWICH, Conn. -- Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana will headline the Greenwich Town Party on May 24 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
The Greenwich Town Party sold out in four minutes last year, and demand is expected to be even greater next year. The number of Greenwich residents in attendance could double to 10,000 with the approval of a second location at Havemeyer Field.
"The GTP was formed to be much more than a great party/festival," a press release said. "It is a celebration of our community in which people help each other in various ways. To make this event possible, some people volunteer and some pay more so that those who can only afford to pay less can attend."
The Greenwich Town Party is offering the “Santana Claus Giving Ticket” through Jan. 15. The ticket includes a $400 "Fair Share Ticket" guaranteeing unlimited access to both venues, a $50 donation to the Greenwich Town Party and a $50 donation to the Greenwich Police Scholarship Fund.
An anonymous Greenwich resident will match each and every donation to both the Greenwich Town Party and the Greenwich Police Scholarship Fund.
