Join noted author Thomson for a book signing and conversation with Audubon Connecticut Executive Director Stewart Hudson.

“Birding With Yeats” is a memoir that begins in 2007, when Thomson and her teenage son, Yeats, take a trip to Vancouver Island and discover a mutual love of birdwatching.

Thomson describes in wondrous detail the many trips they take, from the Wye Marsh and Pelee Island in Ontario, to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, to an ill-fated trip to the Galapagos Islands. She describes how their relationship grows and evolves as their journey proceeds, with birds as a portal to a deeper connection they possess.

A lyrical, delicate and gently humorous reflection of the unique bond between a mother and son, “Birding with Yeats” reminds readers of the importance of mindful living – living in the present moment and reveling in the magic that is the natural world.

Suggested donation is $10. A reception will precede the discussion. RSVP to 203-930-1349 or email Audubon Greenwich at greenwichcenter@audubon.org.

Audubon Greenwich is at 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich.
