Huffington Post is one of the Internet’s most widely read, linked to and cited news sources. She is also a nationally syndicated columnist and author of 14 books. Huffington was named one of Forbes’ Most Influential Women of 2013 and has appeared on the Time 100 list twice. The Huffington Post was also awarded the winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for national journalism. After years of working around the clock, Huffington collapsed in 2007 due to exhaustion and lack of sleep.  Left with a broken cheekbone and a serious eye injury, She used the accident as a wake-up call that forced her to re-evaluate the true measure of success.  The 2014 Center for HOPE Luncheon is co-chaired by Jan Dilenscheider of Darien, Louise Vanderlip of Greenwich and Terri Walker of Rowayton. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Center for HOPE and The Den for Grieving Kids. Both programs are part of Greenwich-based Family Centers and offer counseling and support to residents of lower Fairfield County coping with a loss, a critical illness or life-altering circumstance. Tickets start at $125, and all attendees will receive a copy Huffington’s new book. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For information and tickets, visit www.familycenters.org or call 203-869-4848.
